Idleness and Activity, Op.5

Idleness and Activity was written for a chamber orchestra (2 Flutes, 2 Clarinets, 1 Horn, 1 Trumpet, Percussion (Timpani, Glockenspiel, Xylophone), Viola, Violin, Cello), around February to March 2007. The compositional idea is to overlay different musical textures to create an ambient effect.

It received its (not too well performed) premiere on 25 June 2010 at Wah Yan College (Hong Kong).

The first video is the digitally rendered version, the second the premiere.
